更新日期: 2025-09-13

Recently, the 2025 (4th) National High-Level Forum on Green and Low-Carbon Metallurgical Technologies and Solid Waste Management Solutions was held at NEU. Co-hosted by NEU, Central South University, Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and the Solid Waste Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the forum was organized by the Key Laboratory of Ecological Metallurgy for Polymetallic Symbiotic Ores (Ministry of Education) and the Engineering Research Center for Nonferrous Metallurgical Process Technology (Ministry of Education). Professor Feng Xiating, President of NEU and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as the forum's chairperson.

The forum focused on recent theoretical, technological, process, and equipment advancements in the metallurgical industry regarding green and low-carbon development, solid waste management, cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, energy conservation and emission reduction, and source control. It featured in-depth discussions on the latest research findings and practical practices in clean production for low-carbon source interception, energy conservation and emission reduction, efficient resource utilization, and circular economy. The forum garnered widespread recognition and active participation from experts in metallurgical enterprises, universities, and research institutions both domestically and internationally. Academicians Wang Guodong, Yu Aibing, Jiang Tao, and other academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering attended the forum, alongside nearly 300 scholars and experts from domestic and international universities and research institutions.

The forum featured six parallel sessions: Low-Carbon Metallurgy and Advanced Manufacturing, Specialized Metallurgical Theory and Methods, Clean Metallurgy Theory and Technology, Solid Waste Resource Recycling, Graduate Student Session, and Graduate Student Breakout Session. Numerous professors and engineers delivered invited presentations at these sessions.

This forum has established a platform for academic exchange and mutual learning of achievements, providing crucial academic support for the advancement of China's green and low-carbon metallurgy and solid waste management sectors. It has also injected strong momentum into the progress of related industries, presenting a vibrant and diverse academic landscape.
